Many people try to cram too much into a visit to India and subsequently burn out. To get the best out your trip, concentrate on a few places rather than trying to tick off as many as possible. Seeing one or two places slowly can be much more rewarding than seeing loads of places, but not having time to appreciate any of them. Spend a few days in one spot and you’ll be less stressed, gain a deeper understanding of where you are, and have more time to get to know the people you meet – your exchanges with hospitable locals will almost certainly lead to some of the most memorable moments of your trip.
At the Monuments there are separate lines for foreigners. At most places there are different prices for foreigners even if there are not different lines.
Best is , carry toilet paper with you at all times. There are no guarantees that it will be in any bathroom in India specially on the way when you are going one place to other city.
ALWAYS keep your passport, plane ticket, money and camera with you.

Food, drink and dietary requirements
Avoid tap water, and any food that may have been washed in it, at all times. No ice, no salads and no fruit you haven’t just peeled yourself. Always buy packed water bottle before to paycheck properly it is packed water by famous company or not.
Many travelers go veggie whilst in India. It’s not a bad idea. A dodgy bit of meat will do you a lot more harm than slightly under cooked vegetables. Plus, many Indians are vegetarian, so there’s a fabulous choice of vegetarian food. If you do eat meat, make sure it’s well cooked. If in doubt, eat at a place that’s packed with locals. And after your dinner best is drink small alcohol.
BEFORE YOU DEPART
Travel health insurance is mandatory for all our travellers. You still have to apply for your visa to india at least 10 days in advance of your date of arrival to India, but now your India eVisa will come with a “window of arrival” period of 120 days.
You do not need to travel to India with any local currency or travel check. Now at airport and mostly all destination have ATM Machine so you can easily withdraw cash or you can use your card for most places.the limit of withdrawing from ATMs is INR 10,000/- per transaction.Also Visa and Bankcard are widely accepted every place. Try not to exchange your currency at Airport as there is big differnce in exchange.
ON YOUR TRIP
On arrival at Delhi Indra Gandhi International Airpot, proceed through immigration. Look for sign TVOA (Tourist Visa On Arrival).You must have your visa letter (ETA – Electronic Travel Authorization) from the Indian Consulate – this needs to be provided with your passport. Processing is simple however they do tend to have problems with their fingerprint scanner and tourist still in line! Your tour is strating from here!!
