Day 1: Delhi

Welcome by our representative at the airport, upon arrival. Then, be driven to your hotel. In the morning, go for sightseeing in the city. Visit the famous Laxminarayan Temple, commonly known as “Birla Mandir”. Go to the India Gate, the 42 metre-high archway that is a war memorial. Proceed to the Parliament House, the lifeblood of Indian democracy. Move to Lotus Temple, also known as the Baha’i House of Worship, open to people irrespective of their religious beliefs or any other distinction. Then, leave for Qutub Minar, the second-tallest minar in India. In the afternoon, proceed for another tour of the city.

After move to old Delhi Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, constructed by Shah Jahan (1592-1666), the Mughal Emperor. Move to the Red Fort, the massive red sandstone residence of Mughal emperors, for almost 200 years. Finally, go to Gandhi Memorial. Stay at the hotel overnight.

Day 2: Delhi-Agra

Be driven to Agra post breakfast. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and proceed to the monument visited by over 3 million/ 30 lakh tourists every year the Taj Mahal! Visit the red, glorious Agra Fort next. End the sightseeing tour for the day by visiting the Tomb Of Akbar The Great. (Sikandra)

Taj Mahal: This marvellous white marble-mausoleum, decorated with multicoloured flowers and vines (of gemstones), topped with a 15-foot high bronze finial, is one of the wonders of the world. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan (1592-1666), in the memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal (1593-1631), who died while giving birth to their daughter, Gauharara Begum. (1631-1706)

Agra Fort: The massive red sandstone Agra Fort was constructed by the Mughal Emperor, Akbar. (1569-1627) It served as his capital, and of successive Mughal emperors Jahangir (1569-1627), Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb. (1618-1707) Some impressive buildings worth-mentioning are the Jahangiri Mahal (Has a giant bowl carved out of a single piece of stone!), Diwan-e-Khas (Hall for private audience.) and Diwan-e-Aam. (Hall for public audience.)

Day 3: Agra- Fatehpur Sikri-Ranthambore National Park (295 km/ 6-7 hours approx.)

After breakfast in the morning, leave for Ranthambore National Park, known for its tigers, leopards, hyenas and wild boars. Enroute, visit the Mughal Emperor Akbar-founded city, Fatehpur Sikri and Keoladeo National Park, inhabited by over 230 species of birds. Upon arrival at Ranthambore National Park, check into the camp/ lodge/ hotel. Have dinner and stay overnight.

Fatehpur Sikri: Probably the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of this historic city is the massive Buland Darwaza. Fatehpur Sikri was founded by Akbar to honour Salim Chishti (1478-1572), the Sufi saint who led his division in the famous battle of Haldighati, alongside Akbar. Devotees visiting his tomb believe that all their wishes get fulfilled.

Day 4: Ranthambore National Park

Have another safari in Ranthambore National Park today and spend the remainder of your day at leisure.

Day 5: Ranthambore National Park-Jaipur

Go for a tiger safari early in the morning at Ranthambore National Park. Leave for Jaipur, the Pink City. Enroute, visit Galta Ji, also known as the “Monkey Temple”, due to the large number of monkeys that live there. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check into the hotel. In the evening, go to Hawa Mahal, the breezy honeycomb-like palace, with 953 windows, resembling Krishna’s crown, the Hindu God. Enjoy a walk in the Pink City. Return to the hotel and spend the night.

Day 6: Jaipur

Post breakfast, meet our guide and visit the popular tourist attraction, the Amer/ Amber Fort, constructed in the year 1592, by the Rajput king, Raja Man Singh I. (1550 – 1614) Have an elephant ride there. Then, go to City Palace, that used to be the seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur. It was built between the years 1729 and 1732. Next, move to Jal Mahal, a palace situated in the middle of a lake. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of the Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort and Galta Ji, also known as the “Monkey Temple”, due to the large number of monkeys that live there. Remainder of the day would be free, and if you like, you can enjoy a vibrant Rajasthani meal, folk dance performance and puppet show. (Rajasthan is known for its entertaining, simple yet funny puppet shows!)

Day 7: Jaipur-Delhi (265 km/ 5-6 hours approx.)

Leave for Delhi in the morning. Be dropped at the airport, or hotel, still enchanted with our tour!
